Academics

Family Foundations Academy (FFA) uses the Houghton-Mifflin curriculum, which is phonics-based and offers differentiated instruction. This curriculum promotes higher-order thinking through explanation.

FFA also offers small-group instruction, IEP (Individualized Education Plan) services, RTI (Response to Intervention), Summer School and a Saturday Academy.

The Academy has three academic goals:

  • To educate students for future success.
  • To promote academic excellence and equity for a diverse population of students within the public education system.
  • To provide a high-quality choice of educational opportunities within a public school system for parents, students and educators.
